1966

Our story begins in May 1966, when Grandma Concetta and her son Giannino left for Switzerland, called by their uncle Carmelo. Having returned from Venezuela without success, Carmelo had found work in a hotel.

1972

In 1972, Giannino and his grandmother Concetta opened the first Pizzeria - Restaurant “Jolly” in Marina di Camerota. Thanks to the help of Carmela, who would soon become his wife, and brothers Andrea, Gerardo and Cocco, they carried on the business successfully. The restaurant attracted customers from cities such as Milan, Turin, and Brescia, but it operated mainly during the summer, while in winter the family would go back to Switzerland or Asiago.

1976

In 1976, Carmela and Giannino got married and continued running the business, spending their summers in Marina di Camerota and their winters abroad. With the arrival of Monica and Davide, the family was seeking greater stability. For this reason, they decided to open a butcher shop in the main square, learning the art of meat processing to offer an alternative to the local seafood. Then Simona, the youngest member of the family, was born.

2002

In 2002, the Mea family acquired the restaurant Al Vecchio Frantoio, a historic establishment in Marina di Camerota. Set on 9,000 square meters of land filled with centuries-old olive trees, the property featured wooden bungalows and chalets that, through dedication and passion, were transformed into the 24 rooms of Park Hotel Cilento, nestled among the olive trees.

Today

Today, our daily commitment is always matched by a warm welcoming smile.
Even the third generation - Giulia, Francesco, Giada, Lorenzo and Gaetano - is ready to welcome you, with courtesy and warmth, to infuse you with all the love we feel for this land!

Good hotel, clean and spacious rooms, great restaurant. It’s a quick walk to downtown but do yourself a favor and try the restaurant. We had primi and secundi the first night and pizza the next. Both were excellent but I think the Contidina pizza was best I had on this trip, which included 3 pizzas at different spots in Naples. We happened to have dinner during Antonio’s birthday party (Happy 9th!) and the noise was deafening. Once the food came, we forgot about the noise and enjoyed our meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go again.
